Directions To Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort From The Twin Cities
Take Interstate 35 north to Cloquet (approx. 2 hours).
Take the Range Cities exit (Hwy. 33), stay on Hwy. 33 until it merges with Hwy. 53N.
Follow Hwy. 53N (approx. 20 miles). Follow Hwy. 53N until you reach Eveleth (approx. 42 miles).
When you get to Eveleth, take the Hwy. 37E exit into Gilbert, follow that down Main Street.
You will come to the intersection of Hwy. 135E. (Right exit) Follow that for approx. 9 miles to Biwabik. You will be on Main Street.
The Giants Ridge exit is approx. 1-1/2 miles from the City of Biwabik on the left side of the road. You will make a left turn onto County Road 138.
Follow County Road 138 for 3-1/2 miles and Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort will be on your left.
Directions To Giants Ridge® From Thunder Bay, Canada
From Thunder Bay, take Provincial Highway 11/17 south to the US border. Continue on US Highway 61, south to Silver Bay, a distance of approximately 90 miles. At Silver Bay, turn right at the stoplight, and follow the road into town. Stay on that road through the town, past the little shopping center and hockey arena, etc. After a few blocks, you will be driving through "green space" and then forest. Continue on toward the west on Lake County Highway 5, which will turn into Lake County Highway 15. When you cross the county line, just west of Toimi, the road becomes St. Louis County Highway 16. Along this route, you will also see markers indicating that this is Forest Service Highway 11 and the Superior National Forest Scenic Byway, which is indicated by a graphic of pine needles and pine cone. At St. Louis County Highway 110, go northwest to Hoyt Lakes, continuing straight on through the town. In Aurora, turn right at the first stop sign and left at the second stop sign. Continue north until you see the entrance to Giants Ridge on the left, which will be St. Louis Highway 138. Please download a Scenic Byway brochure complete with a map.
